Pole, who are you? This film collage that combines archival and contemporary materials, documentary and staged pictures, press reports, social announcements, sale offers and speech excerpts is an attempt to answer this question. Referring to the Polish tradition of a creative documentary in the style of Wojciech Wiszniewski, the film presents various manifestations of Polishness: patriotic and religious rituals, everyday traditions as well as characteristic landscapes or intimate memories from childhood.

    Graduate of the Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing and the Institute of Applied Social Sciences at the University of Warsaw. He is a co-initiator of the “ę” Society of Creative Initiatives and worked as a lecturer in the Film Kindergarten of the Wajda School as well as a chairman of the Film 1,2 Association. He made a film series which includes How to Make a Movie (2010) and Muzykoteka szkolna (2011). His documentaries “Diary of Journey” (2013), “The Last Day of the Summer” (2010), “7 x Moscow” (2005) were screened and awarded at many festivals. In 2016 he was nominated for the European Film Award for his film “21xNew York.” For this project he also became the winner of the Polish Film Awards: EAGLES for the best documentary film.
