• Józef Robakowski
  Artist, art historian, filmmaker, author of photography series, video records, drawings, installations, objects, conceptual projects, initiator of artistic multimedia actions. Curator and owner of the Galeria Wymiany gallery. Robakowski was born on February 20th 1939 in Poznań. Studied history of art and museology at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, as well as at the Faculty of Cinematography of the Film School in Łódź, where in 1970-1981 he was a lecturer and the head of the Department of Photography and Visual Advertisement. In 1995 he started working at the school once again, and he currently conducts multimedia workshops there. Co-founder of artistic groups, including: OKO (1960), STKF PĘTLA (1960-1966), ZERO-61 (1961-1969), KRĄG (1965-1967), as well as the 1970-established Łódź-based team “Warsztat Formy Filmowej i Telewizyjnej Grupy Twórczej Stacja Ł” (1991-1992).
